Good Laboratory Practice Support

What is Good Laboratory Practice Support?
GLP documentation records how a study is planned, performed, checked and archived under applicable Good Laboratory Practice requirements. For cosmetic projects, it supports traceability of relevant non-clinical safety studies where GLP is required or specified, rather than certifying every product test.
Why do you need this service?
Use GLP support for applicable nonclinical health or environmental safety studies where the intended use requires that quality framework. Confirm the facility status, study scope and receiving requirements before commissioning work.

GLP documentation for relevant cosmetic studies
Good Laboratory Practice is a quality system for the organisation and conduct of applicable non-clinical health and environmental safety studies. It is not a universal requirement for every cosmetic efficacy, stability or microbiological test. Confirm the study’s intended regulatory use, applicable framework and facility scope before commissioning GLP work.
Records across the study
- An approved study plan and documented amendments or deviations
- Identified test and reference items and sample records
- Relevant standard operating procedures and equipment records
- Contemporaneous raw data with attributable entries
- Independent quality-assurance oversight and statements as applicable
- A final report and arrangements for archiving supporting records
Documentation should show how results were generated and controlled. A collection of certificates produced after testing cannot retrospectively make a non-GLP study GLP-compliant.
Use in dossiers
The study report and relevant supporting records can contribute to a safety assessment or regulatory package where appropriate. The receiving requirements determine what must be supplied and retained. Verify a provider’s GLP compliance status and study coverage rather than relying on an unspecific claim of certification.
GLP records do not by themselves prove product safety, satisfy every retailer or replace scientific assessment of whether the method answers the question.
Applications of GLP support
Establishing study records
An appropriate study plan, identified test items, contemporaneous raw data, documented procedures and independent quality-assurance activities support traceability. Changes and deviations need records under the applicable framework. A later certificate cannot retrospectively turn a non-GLP study into a GLP study.
Keeping the boundary clear
Human patch tests are clinical studies and are not automatically governed by a nonclinical GLP framework. Nor are all cosmetic stability, microbiological or efficacy studies universally subject to FDA 21 CFR Part 58. Retention and submission requirements depend on the framework and use; GLP documentation does not itself prove product safety or general regulatory acceptance.
