Packaging / fill & finish
Why do you need this service?
Fill-and-finish services place bulk product into suitable containers and complete agreed closure, labelling and assembly work. Packaging compatibility, artwork review and traceability should be specified alongside the filling requirements.

Laboratoire Naturae
Laboratoire Naturae is a French natural-cosmetics formulator and manufacturer offering white-label, custom production, packaging and e-commerce logistics.Packaging and fill-and-finish
Fill-and-finish operations place bulk product into selected containers and complete the agreed labelling and assembly steps. Container sourcing and technical evaluation may be included, but should be distinguished from the filling operation itself.
Container compatibility
Compatibility studies examine the formulation and packaging together for interactions that could affect product quality or container performance. Glass, plastic, metal and closure materials require consideration according to the product.
- Product stability in the selected pack
- Material interaction and compatibility assessments
- Closure integrity and leakage checks
- Light protection where relevant to the formulation
The duration depends on the product, packaging and study purpose. A short screening exercise cannot guarantee freedom from later degradation or recalls.
Filling and assembly
Operations may use manual stations for small batches or automated lines for larger volumes. Equipment must suit the product’s texture and container, with defined fill specifications and appropriate production hygiene.
- Filling liquids, creams, gels or powders where supported
- Applying closures and checking seals
- Label placement and batch identification
- Secondary packaging and kit assembly
- Quality checks at agreed production stages
Facility capabilities, volumes and component availability affect the method selected. The service agreement should specify traceability, acceptance criteria and responsibility for artwork or label review. Finished packaging does not by itself establish regulatory compliance or suitability for every retailer.
Planning the filling run
Select equipment for the product texture, container and required fill specification. Manual and automated approaches have different volume and handling constraints. Define hygiene, batch identification and in-process quality checks for the operation.
Closure fitting, seal checks, label placement and secondary assembly may be included. Formula-contact compatibility and functional testing of pumps or applicators are separate technical tasks, even when coordinated by the same supplier.
The agreement should identify material sourcing, component versions, acceptance criteria and responsibility for label compliance. Unit capacity, minimum order quantities and lead times are provider-specific. A short compatibility screen or completed filling run does not establish shelf life or guarantee retailer acceptance.
