It examines physical and chemical changes under defined conditions and should remain distinct from a completed shelf-life programme for the final product and packaging. ### Storage and stress screening Laboratories may use elevated temperatures, humidity, temperature cycling or controlled light exposure to investigate likely failure modes. Conditions and observation periods should suit the formulation and packaging.
